Separate gem earning from gem saving, compare daily and class-spin options, and understand the paid alternatives reported by a creator.
The gems tutorial points to a daily spin and paid shop/VIP options, then shows how an available free class spin can save gems. A free class roll is a saving method; it is not proof that your gem balance increases.

A practical first check
Check your current balance
Read the gem counter before doing anything. The creator's 30-gem starting balance is only that account's snapshot and is not a joining reward.
Look at the daily spin
Use the game's daily/reward-spin interface if it offers a free attempt. Read its displayed reward and cooldown. This guide does not invent a midnight reset or a guaranteed gem prize.
Check the class panel separately
An available free class roll can preserve gems even when the reward wheel has not increased your balance. Follow the class guide for the reported free-versus-25-gem comparison.
Verify the result
Compare the balance and any displayed class or reward after the action. Keep cash from selling fries, gems and class results separate; a successful sale does not by itself prove a gem payout.
Spend against a specific goal
If you want another class, compare the current roll price with an available free option. If you want progression, read the upgrades offered to your current account and their currencies. The class tutorial recommends preserving gems for upgrades, but its narration does not establish every upgrade's currency or price.
